The Touch Design studio team has grown considerably since the early days – we are now in a beautiful office in a historic building in the heart of Nottingham’s Lace Market area, with an ever-growing team sitting alongside employees of our sister company, Volute. We even have our own well-behaved office dog and an occasional (maybe slightly less well-behaved and barkier) dog visitor. * This is acceptable to say as the author of this blog post is the said owner of the latter mentioned dog.

We have a relaxed and friendly office environment where staff feel valued, supported and empowered to carry out a wide range of client work, with an emphasis on team working and achieving the highest quality outputs. Team members have their own specific skill sets and interests which all makes for a whole more valuable and impactful than the sum of its parts.

It is important as a business that we invest in our team with continuous professional development that keeps us at the forefront of industry thinking and technical approaches. For this reason, two colleagues (creative director Jo Sculpher and graphic designer Billy Sawyer) recently attended a five-day 'virtual and immersive production' programme, run by Create Growth N2, a training provider funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and supported by University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, Innovate UK, Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and NBV Enterprise Solutions.

Participation on this cutting-edge programme backs our commitment to innovation and continuous learning, and ultimately, will provide our clients with the most informed advice and guidance and technical solutions. The programme has covered areas such as immersive technology, immersive sound, motion capture and uses of AI.

We are looking forward to sharing with clients the learning that Jo and Billy gained as soon as we can. And don’t worry, we’re still here to design you a campaign or printed leaflet should you This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Old and the new, and the bit inbetween, we’ve got it covered. It’s just that now we know some really good techy new words.
