In communications around suicide, we know language matters. Over such a deeply emotional and traumatic subject, getting the words right is hugely important. Our words have to be thoughtful and non-stigmatising. Design also plays a vital complementary role. The way in which those words appear on a leaflet or website page, needs to be set out in an appropriately understanding and supportive way.

We have recently started working with Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS), a charity which offers peer-to-peer support to all those over the age of 18, impacted by suicide loss in the UK. They carry out a hugely important role for those bereaved by suicide in supporting each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow.

We have worked with clients in the mental health sector for nearly two decades and were really pleased to be asked by SoBS to support them in their valuable work and we look forward to extending this relationship in the future. If you are looking for a design partner, one that shares your values, who will work to understand your culture and ways of working, then please get in touch with us.
