Lexi’s Letter was written by Lexi in December 2024. Lexi worked with Touch Design as creative director for this animation until her death (aged 14) in September 2025, after which we saw through the project on her behalf. The letter is read by her sister Ella. First shared with Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust, it has already inspired plans for clinician-training resources and a children’s book to help improve young people’s experience of care. We’re sharing it more widely because NHS teams need quick, authentic and emotionally resonant tools that help staff understand young patients, and Lexi’s Letter offers a simple, powerful way to reflect, connect and drive positive change.
